'How do you plan on defeating this guy?' Arthur asks.
'I'm not sure yet. Give me time to think.'
'Well, you'd better hurry up because Malachai is going to burn the whole of Bristol down if you don't come up with an idea soon.'
Martha and Arthur stood on St luke's Crescent, the smoke from Victoria park dampening their spirits. After Malachi Lewis stole Martha's powers, He had gone on a rampage, burning anything in sight; the screams of innocent people fueling his desire to create chaos. He was now in Victoria Park, growing stronger by the minute.
'The only way we can defeat him,' Martha said. 'Is for you to summon a djinn of the 12th degree or higher.'
'But I've never summoned a demon as high as that!' Arthur protests. 'The last time I tried to summon a djinn...'
'I know, but that won't happen again. I believe in you Arthur,' She paused. 'It's our only hope.'
He sighed. 'Ok, but I'll need some chalk and incense.'
When Martha had come back with the supplies, they found an abandoned house where Arthur could perform the summoning. He replaced photos of a family smiling and laughing on a shelf with the incense candles. He drew three pentacles on the floor; one for himself, one for Martha and the other for where the djinn would appear. After completing this, he triple checks he didn't make any spelling mistakes. Now satisfied he began to recite the summoning spell.
Suddenly all of the candle wicks were snuffed out and darkness filled the room. A Gargoyle stared back at the two children from its pentacle. Arthur's voice was small. 'I-I charge y-you to tell me your name.'
In a booming voice, the demon replied, 'AZAGITH THE ALMIGHTY!'
Martha was sure the djinn had just made up the last phrase of his name, but they didn't have time to argue. There was a crisis here.
'By the constraints of the circle and the point of the pentacle, I am your master! You will obey my will!'
'What is your will?'
'I charge you to kill Malachi Lewis.'
The djinn hesitated. Martha guessed it hadn't ever been ordered to do something as big as that before in its long life.
'Are you sure about this, kid? I mean, you will be arrested and probably put on the death sentence.' Azagith said.
'Are you complaining demon? I would happily punish you for disobeying me if you don't carry out my charge right now.' Arthur replied with a bead of sweat trickling down his face.
'Alright, but don't say I didn't warn you.' And with that, he change into a falcon and flew off to do Arthur Underwoods bidding.
